Matcha Shiratama Parfait ($11.80)

Whenever I am at Plaza Singapura, I never fail to visit Nana's Green Tea for my daily dessert fix as they offer the most delicious green tea parfait around the island. Till this day, I am still a loyal fan of the Matcha Shiratama Parfait - an artisan dessert starting with a layer of kanten jelly and matcha syrup then topped with soft serve vanilla ice cream, generous layer of corn flakes and garnished with a matcha ice cream, red bean paste, mochi, whipped cream and a drizzle of matcha syrup. The matcha ice cream is so smooth and creamy, the texture of the mochi is done to perfection, and corn flakes with ice cream can never go wrong! Personally, I tend to share the parfait as it gets pretty filling especially as an after meal dessert.The cafe is also a great place to catch up with your friends or even to meet clients at as the tables have ample space between each other, and a light colored wooden divider. The environment is conducive for a quiet chat without you having to shout at one another over the table. This is definitely a cafe which I will continue to patronize.
